Chev Elcamino
This is already my 5th post on this very small motor show I attended at a local school, as mentioned in an earlier post, this was to raise money for charity. Although the show was small they had a few very interesting cars on show, and the quality of the cars were also of high standard. A case in point is this Chev Alcamino bakkie, which must have been a workhorse back in the day. Now it is beautifully restored, and in showroom condition!!
Just look at the flawless paint work and the super clean engine bay. Talking of the engine bay - it again contains a huge V8 motor!! This car will have more than enough power to take on some small sporty hatchbacks of today!!
These old bakkies (In South Africa we call these small trucks, bakkies) are also becoming very collectible here in South Africa!!
