My point was more that the character actively identified as "being evil" (or at least trying). I haven't yet encountered or heard of people who seriously try to go out of their way to commit evil acts or be seen as evil (they are usually of the firm belief/delusion that they are good people, or at least good people who have to/are forced to do "necessary evil"), but I am pretty reclusive.
