Nature of the Future
Do you wish to live in a world full of beautiful scenery or live in a world with desolation?
A skinny young man,
Passed-by the deserted empty Town,
Walked along the contaminated river bank,
Gazing at the dark sky,
Recalled the polluted ocean he have seen;
He doubt,
Is the world born to be like this?
Is the sky covered in dark cloud as always?
Does the river and sea always black?
He wondered;
He back to the past,
The ancient world,
The river is so crystal clear,
The sky is so nicely painted in blue,
The world immersed in joy;
Then he back to the time line before the nearly destroyed future,
He discovered,
Sea shore badly surrounded by smoking creature,
Dark smoke rise,
Sky began to be darkened;
Young man sobbed,
Finally he realized,
What humankind have done to her,
Mother Nature heavily breathing,
Confronting this abuse and violence;
Nature been destroyed completely,
Ocean was polluted badly,
Plants withered,
Creatures nearly extinct,
Extreme weather howling;
Young man can do nothing,
With his own ability,
Melancholy is reaching him,
Falling into the deep deep hole，
Into the dark cave;
She lost her ability to recover,
Struggled in sadness,
Young man in desperate,
He can't help with her,
Because he don't know how to.
My Thoughts
Nowadays, human activities keep on destroying the mother nature, even if we are trying to do what we can to save her, but the rate of recovering is still much more lower than the destroying rate. We have to put more effort into this earth saving activities, to level up the rate of recover, and stop the harming activities as much as possible to reduce the destroying rate. Just like the young man in the poem, he can do nothing just on his own, his ability is not sufficient enough. We can success only with the strength of everyone, of all the people in the world.
If we keep on using all non-renewable energy on earth non-stop, it will deplete very quickly, especially natural gas and petroleum. With the depletion, not only we people suffer from lack of energy but the mother nature will get hurts too. We should not harness the resources excessively and we should discover and implement more nature friendly renewable energy. I am sure that everyone will not want to leave the world as terrible as the poem described above to our next generation. So, let’s start moving!

The reactor’s emitted smoke darkened the sky above it.
