Diving Though the Clouds

A sky diver floating to the ground sailing through a thick cloud cover. I took this photo at an air show in Valkaria, Florida several years ago. This little airport was a Naval Air Station during World War II. Navy pilots received their initial training for landing on aircraft carrier decks here.

Valkaria hosts an annual air show which is a popular local event. The sky diver with the American flag opens the show and is quite a sight.

This is my entry in #sportsphotography by @juliank and @photocontests daily photography contest.
