The soon to be Mr and Mrs Bamidele waited patiently for their doctor at his office. They had both come for their genotype test results. But unlike other couples who were always nervous when it's time for the result, the both of them looked confident. And it was simply because they had both had their genotype test taken six months prior to that time and it had both been AA.
They both wouldn't be here for a second test if their pastor hadn't insisted.The pastor had told them that for him to wed them as man and wife they needed to have a current genotype test result along with other tests like that of HIV and the rest.
It took the doctor some time but he finally arrived with the test and unlike the look on his patients faces, the doctor wasn't looking so bright. He knew they both were about to get married and all they needed was the result of this test to go ahead, the same result he was holding.
"Your test results are finally out but am sorry I don't have good news" the doctor said, leaving both of them confused. "You're both AS" the doctor dropped the bombshell.
It took a few seconds for what the doctor said to sink into their head and when it did they were both surprised and shocked at the same time.
"That can't be true" the man said, opening the test results the doctor handed to him. "No no no.....but but the first test we did, it...it was okay, we were fine"
The doctor sighed. "I'm sorry"
"No! There must be some sort of explanation, does it change on it's own?" The man asked a dumb question, but the doctor couldn't blame him, he just told him that he can't be with the love of his life.
"There probably was some sort of mistake with the first test, I'm sorry" The doctor replied, trying to calm him down. The lady on the other hand hadn't said a word, she just allowed the tears in her eyes roll down freely.
"Poor thing must be so shock that she's lost her speech" the doctor thought to himself.
It took the doctor a while to calm them down. He even conducted a second test just to be sure and when the results came out the same, the man thanked him before walking out of the office with his woman. The doctor had no idea what the man was planning but with the looks on his face, he knew it was nothing good for the first doctor.
