Holy week is usually the new tradition in some Christians churches which they use to remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ in this world. The Bible clearly records these events, especially in the Gospels, showing their importance in God’s plan of salvation. However, the Bible does not specifically command Christians to celebrate a set week called “Holy Week.” What it emphasizes instead is the remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice and the power of His resurrection.
Holy Week can be seen as a helpful and meaningful time for reflection if it draws people closer to God and reminds them of Jesus’ sacrifice. However, it should not be treated as a requirement for salvation or as something that replaces daily devotion. Biblically, true worship is not limited to certain days, but is a continuous life of faith, gratitude, and obedience to God.
