If I were a lawyer, I’d rise from the ground,
Words of justice and intolerance abound.
Not just for fame or a seat in the hall,
But to stand with the weak when they’ve nothing at all.
Fame and honor is what I despise,
Not standing inside a courtroom in disguise.
For I know that law and justice should be prioritized
And be given an importance that I do recognize.
I’d speak for the silent, the shamed, and the scarred,
For stories dismissed and for futures made hard
For the child who was blamed when they needed a shield,
For the truth that was buried, unspoken, unhealed.
I wouldn't wear power as a cause for despair,
But to rise with justice, unshaken, and fair.
I’d turn every “objection” into a chance,
To fight for the ones never given a glance.
I’d stand in the gap—between truth and trembling voices,
Between power and the powerless,
Between the law, as it is and the justice it should be,
And the unfortunate ones be set free.
I’ll live by my words and inner might,
A woman of truth standing upright.
Dignity is mine—it's not yours to bestow,
And justice will rise everywhere I go.
I’d know every law, every clause, and every page,
But more than the rules, I would carry their rage.
Not anger for vengeance, but a fight for rights,
The kind that still burns when you're out of the fight.
If I were a lawyer, I wouldn’t despise the low,
I’d answer the cries that most people don’t show.
I’d challenge the systems that silence the small,
And being fair with all the people while standing tall.
But for now, I am just a student with a pen,
Not yet in the court, but I’m dreaming again.
My voice may be quiet and my reach may be few,
But I’ll keep writing laws in the things that I do.
One day you’ll see me, defending the lost
In heels or in flats, whatever the cost.
But while I’m still dreaming, I’ll write what I feel,
Each word is a small step toward making it real.
Hello my dear Hivers, I hope I have reached your hearts through this poem. As you may have notice, I am really fond of laws that's why I keep on writing about it. Thank you so much for reading this blog. I know that all of you deserve an appreciation. Have a nice day! 😄
