I have a XPS foam cutter but the machine doesnt have anything usefull to make angle cuts. I wanted to make one for myself for a long time. Lets 3D model the piece for laser cutting later. I need 90 75 60 45 30 degrees on each end.
There is a lot to think about. I think the bulk of the design is there but i need to fine tune the pieces as this will be produced with laser cutting. each piece thickness is 3mm so this gives me some restrictions but i'll use some #3D printed parts as well ( like the knob ) Here is a digital simulation gif of how this guide works.
