Hi splinter farm?
Welcome to another weekly blog of splinterlands social media content. So the season has ended and for the first time in my splinterlands career I’ve managed to make 175k glint from the seasonal reward.
Now the reason why this surprises me is that last season I spend way less time playing spl and get still I was able to make this amount of glint. Before last season started I said I was going to play way less spl because I have other commitments which I need to concentrate on as well.
So with this last season I don’t think I played up to 30 battles per day like I used to in other seasons. on other days I played way more than 30 battles and even after my energy was depleted I looked for more energy to play.
Enough of that, this week I’ll talk about a battle like I have done for some time now. Today I had a fairly easy battle to my surprise. As usual I was experimenting with a few card combinations as the mana for this battle was as low as 13. If you’ve read my battle posts I’ve made it clear time without number that I hate battles with little mana and if it were up to me I wouldn’t get little mana battles.
In this battle I was in diamond II so I expected to loose. The rulesets for this game were heavy hitters, are you not entertained and noxious fumes. The thing about this ruleset was I didn’t care about the first two cause there was no way I was going for a gladiator card.
The one which I was concerned about was noxious fumes. This is because if I’d gone for a low health card it’ll not last long enough to make enough kills. So instead I decided to go for diemonshark, a card with 10 health and then with the trample ability. Also it has the retaliate ability which is good for me as well.
My other two cards were torrent fiend and chaos agent just to fill up the mana. My opponent went for corpse fiend at level 1, cursed windeku at max, vruz and then chaos agent as well.
Round one was a blessing to me. He attacked first but it was on my no attack card. It had shield so nothing happened to it. Then my diemonshark attacked his card next and killed it, it then performed trample attack on his cursed windeku and took a bit of health from it.
Round 2 came with poison and poisoned and killed most of our card. For me it was left with my no attack card and diemonshark. For my opponent he had cursed windeku and vruz left. I performed an attack and killed his windeku and then another trample attack to kill his vruz as well.
It was a fairly simple win but I am sure if I had selected only diemonshark he would have beaten me. The other cards acting as a distraction worked brilliantly.
