Gathered up
like bags of candy
trick-or-treaters sway
On a walk
with friends
who are heroes for play
Baked in
Like pies and tarts
and stuffed like feathered birds
They glide
filled with flight and song
and utter not one word
For the cold cracks
have a hold and summon
winter jackets
The present ice
the wrapped delights
and taped memories
