I sit like Sheryl Crow
writing about the inside of a bar
traveling out to take others inside Los Angeles

I walk like the subject
of a dreamers tale
tallying the weight of the ephemeral

I run parsing my steps
riding on the moments
I leave earth

I drive knowing I will return
to a junction of many paths
from the trickles of traffic to an empty street
