I opened mouths to cast aside
The knot of not knowing
I parted seas with gales and tides
That growth be ever flowing
But rocks and shores fell through the pores
The skin of fear kept fraying
You so afraid yet could not see
That love could keep from straying
Sea foam and froth flew like a moth
Towards the flaming skyline
Consumed the air and never coughed
Ate death to keep from dying
You skimmed a thought and from your ark
Said sailing from this shoreline
Was better for everyone
Even if we fell into bylines
