Let's talk about Broken Arrows Ruleset this week for the Share your Battle Mage Secrets weekly challenge.
This Week's Challenge: BATTLE MAGE SECRETS
In battles with the Broken Arrows Ruleset, both Ranged Attack Monsters and Monsters with two types of attacks, one of which is Ranged Attack, cannot be used either. This means that Melee Attack Monsters and Magic Attack Monsters can be used in such battles. To be honest, I like battles with the Broken Arrows Ruleset because my Ranged Attack Monster cards are not very powerful, and Ranged Attack Monsters are Monsters that can be very effective in battles when used with good strategy. Especially Ranged Attack Monsters with Double Strike Ability or Blast Ability can be much more effective in battles. The fact that these Monsters will not be used in battles with the Broken Arrows ruleset allows me to strategize more efficiently in battles.
BATTLE

Mana Cap 50
Opportunity Ability : Monsters with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health.
MY STRATEGY
According to the battle ruleset, Ranged Attack Monsters could not be used in this battle, so I would be able to use Magic Attack Monster and Melee Attack Monster. Also, according to the battle rulesets, all Monsters in this battle would have the Opportunity Ability and the Monsters would not have armor. In such battles, Monsters with Double Strike Ability and 2 types of attacks can be very effective, and it can be more advantageous to use Melee Attack Monsters as the monsters will not have armor, so I decided to add Quora Towershead and Grund to my team without hesitation. I would also add a Monster with the Demoralize Ability to my team, taking into account that there will be Melee Attack Monsters on the opposing team. Also, I've added another Monster with the Inspire Ability to my team to allow Melee Attack Monsters on my team to attack targets more powerfully. And finally, in such a battle, I thought that having a Monster with Taunt Ability in my team would give my team an advantage, and I added Mycelic Slipspawn to my team.
Additionally, if Ranged Attack Monsters could be used in this battle, I would put at least one Monster with the Martyr Ability next to Quora Towershead and Grund, it would make them much more effective in battle. I set the line-up of the Monsters according to their health, since all monsters will have Opportunity Ability, they will target monsters with the lowest health after Monsters with Taunt Ability. And the line-up of monsters in my team is as follows.
LINE UP
Summoner : LOBB LOWLAND
I chose Lobb Lowland as the Summoner as I will be using one Gladiator in this battle. Lobb Lowland allows the use of one additional Gladiator card in battle, and reduces the speed of all monsters on the opposing team by -1. Frankly, speed is very important in battles, so reducing the speed of all monsters on the opposing team would give my team an advantage.
Position 1: HILL GIANT
Hill Giant is a Common Monster in the Earth Unit belonging to the Chaos Legion Edition. Hill Giant has 2 Melee Attacks, 2 Speed, and 7 Health at level 4. Honestly, the most important reason I added Hill Giant to my team in this battle was that it only cost 3 mana, and I put him in the first position.
Position 2: DISINTEGRATOR
Disintegrator is a Common Monster in the Neutral Unit belonging to the Chaos Legion Edition. Disintegrator has 2 Melee Attack, 2 Speed, 3 Armor, 6 health, and Demoralize Ability at level 4. Also, Disintegrator costs 7 mana. The most important reason I added Disintegrator to the team in this battle was because it had the Demoralize Ability, and I put it in the second position. Thanks to Disintegrator, the Melee Attack of all Melee Attack Monsters on the opposing team would be reduced by -1.
Position 3: GRUND
Grund is a Epic Monster in the Earth Unit belonging to the Chaos Legion Edition. Grund has 3 Melee Attack, 3 Speed, 11 health, and Double Strike Ability at level 2. Also, Grund costs 10 mana. The most important reason I added Grund to my team in this battle was because he has the Double Strike Ability, thanks to this ability, he attacks twice each round. I would also like to point out that he is my favorite monster in battles with the Equal Opportunity Ruleset, and he attacks targets very powerfully and ruthlessly. And I put him in the third position so that he is not the target of the first attacks.
Position 4: THANE NEWSONG
Thane Newsong is a Epic Monster in the Earth Unit belonging to the Reward (Soulbound) Edition. Thane Newsong has 2 Speed, 8 health, and Inspire Ability at level 2. Also, Thane Newsong costs 5 mana. The most important reason I added Thane Newsong to my team in this battle was that he has the Inspire Ability, thanks to Thane Newsong, all Melee Attack Monsters in my team would attack the enemies more powerfully. And I put Thane Newsong in fourth position.
Position 5: QUORA TOWERSHEAD
Quora Towershead is a Epic Gladiator in the Earth Unit belonging to the Gladius Edition. Quora Towershead has 2 Magic Attacks, 2 Melee Attacks, 3 Speed, 12 health, the Bloodlust Ability and the Heal Ability at level 2. Also, Quora Towershead costs 10 mana. Quora Towershead is a very powerful Gladiator with powerful abilities that can attack targets with both Magic Attacks and Melee Attacks. Quora Towershead can be very effective in battles so I never hesitate to add her to my team whenever I have the opportunity. Since she has the Bloodlust Ability, she can become much more dangerous in battles as the battle goes on. Also, since she has the Heal Ability, it is quite difficult to destroy her in battles. As I thought Quora Towershead would be quite effective in this battle, I added her to my team and put her in fifth position.
Position 6: MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN
Mycelic Slipspawn is a Rare Monster in the Earth Unit belonging to the Chaos Legion Edition. Mycelic Slipspawn has 2 Magic Attack, 3 Speed, 11 health, and Taunt Ability at level 3. Also, Mycelic Slipspawn costs 9 mana. The most important reason why I added Mycelic Slipspawn to the team in this battle was because it has the Taunt Ability. Since it had the Taunt Ability, the enemies had to destroy it first, thanks to Mycelic Slipspawn, other monsters in my team would not be the target of the enemies' first attacks. I put Mycelic Slipspawn in the last position, thinking that there might be a Monster with the Blast Ability on the opposing team.
BATTLE COMMENTS
Round 1
To be honest, the opposing player's strategy was also very good, but the opposing player had added a Monster with the Silence Ability, thinking that I would use Magic Attack Monsters. I guess the opposing player didn't take into account that I would be using Melee Attack Monsters, so I'm glad there isn't a Monster with the Demoralize Ability on the opposing team. But using a monster with Thorns Ability was very wise. Honestly, if I had chosen only Magic Attack Monsters in this battle, I would probably have lost the battle, so it was good that I opted for Melee Attack Monsters.
Both teams were attacking their targets powerfully in the first round, but my team was attacking much more powerful mainly because my team had Monsters with Demoralize Ability and Inspire Ability. Due to the Inspire Ability, my team was attacking more powerful, while the Demoralize Ability was why Melee Attack Monsters on the opposing team were attacking weaker. In the first round, 2 monsters from the opposing team were destroyed, while all the monsters in my team were alive.
Round 2
In the second round, the monsters on my team were attacking much more effectively, especially after Quora Towershead destroyed the target, all her stats increased, making her much more dangerous in battle. Also, Grund's attacks were brutal and truly admirable. In the second round, 2 more monsters from the opposing team were destroyed, but 2 monsters from my team were destroyed. While only 2 monsters were alive in the opposing team, 4 monsters were still alive in my team.
Round 3
Things were not going well for the opposing team in this battle, but my strategy was working pretty well, so everything was going well for my team. In the third round, while another monster from the opposing team was destroyed, only one monster remained and it also had very low health. So it wouldn't be hard to destroy it in the fourth round.
Round 4
In the fourth round, only Grund was left on the opposing team and he had only 3 health. Quora Towershead destroyed Grund with one hit and the battle was over.
Although the battle was a 50 mana battle, it only lasted 4 rounds and only two monsters from my team were destroyed, while all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed. The fact that I used monsters with Demoralize Ability and Inspire Ability in this battle gave my team a huge advantage. This was a huge disadvantage for the opposing team. So my team won this pretty tough battle pretty easily. It is very important in strategy as well as having powerful cards in battles, this battle clearly showed this. That's why I attach great importance to strategy in every battle. My strategy worked really well in this battle. I recommend you to watch this wonderful battle and the weekly challenge from battle link.
