This afternoon I rushed over to Newport Beach, CA to catch the last sunset of 2021. I wanted to end a tough year and go into 2022 on a positive note.
I'm going to go in reverse on this post because the better pictures were at or after sunset so here we go. Pictures taken with my Canon Powershot SX 540HS and iPhone XS.

The cloud formations were nice. The black shadow below the clouds is Catalina island.

That's probably the best aspect of the camera. In most other cases I prefer the iPhone. It could be I just don't know how to get the correct settings & color balance or it could just be an old, cheap Canon.
Anyway, it was a very nice sunset and several other people joined to enjoy the show.
