(Sunrise at Haneda Airport)
Just got home to my house in Tokyo and wow, it was brutal getting through immigration. Checks and re-checks and paperwork and tests. All in all it took 2.5 hours to get through immigration.
Now I have to quarantine for 14 days. The government put a tracking app on my phone to make sure I don't go out. In addition they will video call me everyday to check on my condition. This process is much more strict than it was in December 2020. I assume it's because they want things to improve for the olympics. I hope things get better because Japan and the world need a pick me up like the Olympics. We'll see.
Well, time to hunker down and figure out how to make the best of my 14 day house arrest. At least I am here with my family.
