A protest at Cityplaza mall in Taikoo Shing, Hong Kong, saw more than 100 masked (for more than one reason these days) gatherers call for the liberation of the territory before being dispersed by police. Footage shows what seems to be a relatively peaceful incident but one with very little regard for social distancing. This follows another protest on Friday.
So it seems that questions about whether COVID-19 would end the Hong Kong protests have been answered: despite a pause, they’re back - and so is the authorities’ approach to them.
