•Overview
Blade-Player is an open source project with the tendency to become really big because of a peculiar service it offers which is not so common among music players. The ability to link up spotify and deezer and player music in those libraries directly on Blade-Player. However the project lacked enough details in it's readme document to give users deep insight of what the project is about and it's features.
I offered to make changes to the readme document of the project(Blade-Player) which had more images than information of the app. The project never had a privacy policy document so I created one from scratch. I made inquiry of some information from the project owner which was necessary to create the privacy policy document.
Pull requests were made after I was done making the proposed changes and was left to the scrutiny of the project owner.
The documents were merged into the master branch having satisfied the project owner. However some minor changes would be made later on in the privacy policy document regarding some technicalities.
•Project Details
Node.js is a JavaScript runtime built on Chrome's V8 JavaScript engine. It uses a non-blocking event-driven I/O model, which makes it a lightweight and efficient framework. I believe in open source projects and I think it's essential to work on this great project because the package ecosystem of Node.js, called npm, is the largest ecosystem of open source libraries in the world.
Given its importance, its translation into many languages is almost due.
I'll use my skills to make an high quality translation and maybe to learn something more about Node.js world.
•Translation Overview
This is my sixth contribution to this project, and it is becoming easier to translate for me.
At first, there were some technical words which I didn't know, but as I'm getting closer to the end of the translation it is becoming easier for me.
There were some words which couldn't be translated into Italian because there is no such thing in the Italian language so I decided not to translate them. There were also some English words that are of common use in Italy (like ticket, wallet) and those words were not translated.
This translation was not from one file alone but from mixed files because now I'm getting closer to the end of the project as I'm at 67% with the Italian translation,
The translation was not hard, but also not really easy because I had to search for many words which are used only in banks and finance.
