Greetings, Splinterlands warriors!
What do you think of the new Collector Achievements feature? Are you among the players getting excited about hunting down cards to complete your collections, or are you still busy figuring out which cards to level up first? I'm still trying to adjust to this collecting craze myself. After all, the desire to collect cards sometimes grows faster than my ability to gather resources.
While keeping up with these developments, I continue my usual Brawl routine with the ClaNFT guild. It's hard to believe we're already approaching the end of October. It feels like only yesterday we were talking about Merits targets, and now the total is almost reaching 10,000.
In this Brawl, I managed to contribute 18 points, with six wins and two losses. Of those six wins, three were automatic victories because our opponents didn't submit teams to the arena. So, half of my wins this time came without having to go through an actual battle. Sometimes, an opponent who doesn't show up turns out to be our best card.
Still, three automatic victories didn't mean everything was easy. I had to fight the battles that did take place, and those two losses reminded me that my strategies aren't always on point. In Splinterlands, we might think we've assembled a great team, but the final outcome still depends on many factors, from the ruleset to the opponent's card combinations.
Overall, ClaNFT had to settle for third place, after previously managing to secure second place. Naturally, there's a little disappointment. But that's how Brawl goes: today we climb, tomorrow we might fall. The important thing is not to let our spirits drop along with our ranking.
For this round, each member who participated fully received 2,250 Merits, while players who own a Spellbook received 24,417 staked SPS.
Now, here's the part that really puts a smile on my face: my Merits balance has reached 9,785. I'm just a little short of 10,000. I could even convert Glint into Merits to reach that milestone faster if I wanted to. But I've decided to hold back.
My goal isn't to stop at 10,000. Instead, I want to accumulate 20,000 Merits before opening my Gladius Cases. When you have a clear target, gathering resources according to a plan feels much more satisfying than spending them every time you see the numbers go up.
See you in the next Brawl. May our Merits keep growing, our cards get stronger, and our crypto wallets stay in good shape! 馃槃
