Sure — I’ll keep the same loose, personal style, so it sounds natural and not overly polished.
Thank you everyone for taking part in the contest! The entries are now officially closed, and soon I will choose the winners together with @atnazo.
I haven’t read all the posts yet, but I promise I won’t miss any of them. From what I know, @atnazo has already read them all and he already has his own leaderboard. I’m currently on vacation, and with two kids it’s really hard to find enough time to fully relax and just sit on a sunbed with my phone. But when I get back, I’ll catch up with everything straight away and I won’t skip anyone.
From what I saw, 14 people took part in the contest. Thank you all once again!
I’ve been on vacation since August 14, so I haven’t had much time — actually, I’ve had almost no time at all — to check Hive.
This year we chose Turkey. I think it’s honestly one of the better holiday destinations for families with small children. Guaranteed good weather, all inclusive, lots of attractions for kids and quite a reasonable price.
I was supposed to be on a diet… but there is so much food here that I’ll probably be scared to step on the scale when I get back home!
What does our day on vacation look like?
We usually wake up around 8:30 and get ready for breakfast.
After breakfast, a quick coffee and then we head to the beach. My wife loves the sea, floating on an inflatable mattress and just moving with the waves. The kids love it too. They are either in the water, looking for shells on the beach, or we build sandcastles together.
Around 12:00 it’s time for my younger daughter’s nap. So I take her for a walk in the stroller, while my wife stays with our older daughter.
I change my clothes, put on my running shoes and when my daughter falls asleep, I park the stroller in the shade under a tree. I found a really nice quiet place where almost nobody walks by.
And then I start running.
Every day I do around 3 km. Today I did 5 km. Maybe it’s not a lot, but with the temperatures here, running is definitely not easy.
14:00
I come back with my daughter and we meet the others in the restaurant for lunch. We usually don’t eat too much because the breakfasts here are really big.
After lunch, we go to the swimming pool. More fun with the girls, but here they can go a little crazier in the water. There are no waves, the water is calm, so they feel more confident and safe.
18:30
We go back to the room, take a shower and get ready for dinner.
After dinner, there are attractions for the kids. Mini disco, dancing, mascot shows and even circus performances. Yesterday they also opened an area with inflatable playgrounds and different games for children.
Honestly, there is almost no chance for a child to get bored here.
Most of the “duties” are done by then, so I can finally have a little bit of relaxation too. After dinner I usually order a drink or a beer. My favorite is gin and tonic.
If you have your own favorite drink, let me know! Tomorrow I’ll order it and tell you if I liked it!
The vacation has been really great so far. The kids are happy, the weather is beautiful and hot. The food is delicious and the drinks are good too. There really isn’t much to complain about.
The only downside I found is the rush and lack of time. The days pass incredibly fast, and with the kids, my wife and I can’t really find a quiet moment to feel that full vacation relaxation.
I have no idea how, because I barely even carry my phone with me, but somehow… I still found time for trading!
I managed to open several positions and close all of them in profit.
If I find some time, tomorrow I’ll make a post about my vacation trading!
