I should have gone out and checked on then 2 weeks ago when more things had green leaves on them. Here are some of the vines I cloned this year.
You can see last years tendrils still on there as I did not cut them off. If you look closely at the left side on the 2nd node up you will see a reddish branch which is new growth this year. There is also the some of the leaves this one produced still clinging to the vine.
These canes are a little easier to see the reddish new growth from this year.
