My wife woke me up at 3am the other night. She said our daughter, Vanessa, had been up since 11pm and wouldn't sleep. I said I would take her so she could get some rest. My daughter and I went out to the couch and I turned on her favorite cartoon, Mickey Mouse. I had to be up for work at 6:30am, but Vanessa wasn't having any of that. She sat on the couch and watched Mickey until about 5am. She worked her way into a comfortable spot on my blanket and eventually passed out. Playing with your kids, doing fun activities with them is great, but it's these moments that make a father!
This post is to all the dad's out there that dedicate themselves to being with their children and supporting their family however that might be.
