 Hi friends!

In the light of rapidly changing scenery I do not have time to light up the bright events of my beloved Odessa. I will try to correct this gap. Walking along the southern Palmyra in her birthday - September 2. Some photos were made on the eve of the holiday.

September 2 is the birthday of Odessa !!!

On the day of the name-day of Odessa, people come from different cities and countries who genuinely love our city! Tourists from 50 countries visited Odessa on holidays. Usually the name days of South Palmyra last five days. On this day along the streets of the Pearls there is a beautifully decorated "Tram of Happiness". You can ride it for free! On board the tram is a cheerful group of Odessa musicians.

The festive program was great! Music played in every corner of Odessa and artists performed. All Odessans, from small to large, sing their city!

A concert was held in the City Garden. All the songs and poems were dedicated to our beloved city! Dancing Odessa citizens in the City Garden at the fountain - this is a real legend! Beautiful outfits and smiles!

Live my Odessa, live and prosper!

The names of the South Palmyra are a festival of unification and love. On this day, under the Odessa sky, a great concentration of love, joy, kindness and fun!

All cafes and restaurants are filled with Odessa citizens and guests of the city

On the street Deribasovskaya procession of sea pirates with a drum

This is how our most popular street in Odessa Deribasovskaya looked on the day of the city

 Young musicians showed their talents

On the day of the city all the central streets become pedestrian! It's very exciting!

 Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater

Fiddler is a very Odessa profession. The lady in blue demonstrated her virtuoso playing the violin

The monument to Pushkin was occupied by young musicians. Especially the children were happy - they happily went to the dance floor.

Behind Pushkin stood the Angel ...

Monument to Catherine the Great in Odessa

Historians do not tire of fighting for the age of Odessa. But for ordinary Odessa citizens, our Southern Palmyra is always young and red. Empress Catherine signed rescript for the construction of our glorious city. September 2 and is the city's day for many years. Odessa in those historic times becomes after Moscow and St. Petersburg the third most important city in the Russian Empire.

Potemkin Stairs with 192 steps collects a huge number of people for the celebration of the day of Odessa. After all, the stage is set at the beginning of the Seaport. The photo shows the design of the scene two days before the name day. On September 2, both domestic and foreign artists appeared on this stage.

At the monument to the Duke on a festive day, everyone dances to the performances of artists. Come to Odessa! It is a beautiful city by the sea with great traditions and culture. In Odessa, at the celebration, you can visit the festival "Red City" and many other events. The festival of street theaters also takes Odessa on its sea shores.

  Duke...

Procession towards Duke from the monument of Catherine on City Day

As planned, on September 2, part of the Greek Park was opened. Magnificent idea and project. I'll tell you in more detail in another article.

Odessa architect and sculptor Mikhail Reva gave another fine work to South Palmyra - the fountain "The Beginning of the Beginning". A talented artist surprises everyone with his work! The "Beginning began" fountain - was no exception. Vivat Michael!

Let me remind you that the Istanbul Park was opened earlier. Now the Greek Park and Istanbul are connected by the Potemkin Stairs. A great idea to transform the territory of Primorsky Boulevard !!!
