I lived considerable nearby a small airport. It is a typical view from my house to see an airplane ascending. During daytime, you can barely hear the sound of the airplane engine.
However, during the night, you can hear the airplane engines when it is descending towards the airport. Luckily the small airport only operates until 10 pm.
