My name is Ekeh Rosemary Obiageli. I am a native of Imo State. I come from a family of 7. I have 4 siblings, 3 brothers and a sister. I am the 4th out of 5 children. I based in Niger State before I gained admission into the University of Nigeria Nsukka to study Mass Communication.
During my academic years in the university, I met a lot of people and made amazing friends who contributed immensely to my growth intellectually, socially, emotionally and otherwise.
Well, being a student can be tasking. It requires alot of attention, concentration and passion. Also, being a student requires a lot of financial responsibilities. So I engaged in some minor activities that helped me in settling the bills. Activities like volunteering during events, hair making, sales jobs etc. In the process of carrying out these activities I picked a special interest in baking.
My baking experience initially started off as me being a sales person for a baker. So I remember going through a friend's status on WhatsApp. He actually put up an advert for his friend's business and I came across it. So I spoke to him about my interest in partnering with his friend. He introduced me to the business owner and after a week I started making the resales for her and I was getting some commission for it.
A few months later, the business owner called on me and told me she was about leaving the city and she would love to teach me how to bake. So I went through the trainings and some weeks later I picked up the skill and started my own cake business. I also took some online classes, tried out different recipes, experienced some trials and errors until I became better and more consistent. However, I still look forward to bigger opportunities that can enhance my baking skills.
While growing up, I was so interested in being independent and adventurous. I tried learning different things just to stay up to date and also to have the fun of doing new things. I am also very passionate about meeting new people and learning how to interact with them and that drove me into working as a Sales Representative. This has given me the opportunity to relate with people from different walks of life and it has greatly helped me with different ideas of how to build my business. And so far it has been an amazing journey. I look forward to more adventures.
