Volunteering is widely spread these days all over the world and most of us take part in such activities directly or indirectly to help others in need. It is a kind act or service provided without being paid to do it. There are different ways in which one can volunteer himself to be a useful and helping hand for others.
We all are so busy in our lives, it is very difficult to find time to volunteer. Still, people manage and spend time as a volunteer because it has a positive impact on their lives. Some people do it on regular basis whereas others do it occasionally.

Talking about myself, yes, I am a volunteer in my religious community. There are several meetings and religious activities arranged in a month which are looked after by a voluntary group, I am also a part of that group where we organize things. Different category of people attend those programs. The main thing which we focus on is dining. Food that is served to all should be carried out in a very good manner. People from all over Pakistan visit in yearly ceremonies and programs. Taking care of their beddings and their stay at the community place is very important regardless of their religion, caste, gender, economic status, or ethnicity. Being a part of such an organization makes me feel happy, satisfied and proud.
Another voluntarily work which I carry out twice a year is donating my blood. It is beneficial for my health and very good to generate new blood cells in every six months. I would be more happy if my blood is utilized for something good and forwarded to the needy people. This is something helping others indirectly.

Recently, Pakistan was badly hit by natural disaster, two third of Pakistan was under water due to flooding. Millions of people were homeless and facing shortage of food. In those hard times, whole country volunteered and worked together to helped the ones in need. I was ready to go with some welfare organizations but unfortunately, I am not trained enough to carry out those activities. So, I just did whatever I can to help and participated in collecting funds and other necessary things at my work place. We handed over the collected amount and other stuff to one of the trusted welfare organization.

It is necessary to understand the true meaning of volunteering and everyone can be a part of it. In this way, we can have a better community system to help the ones and build a better society.
