architecture of the city of Lviv #monomad challenge / Архітектура міста Львів (En/Ua)
Hello, this is my entry for the contest #monomad challenge by @monochrome.
Today I want to tell you about one of my walks in Lviv. This city has more than seven hundred years of history. And extraordinary architecture. I am always interested to see the beauty of houses and their facades, romantic balconies, porches, their ornaments and stucco, which are sometimes difficult to understand.
That's why I take photos to bring the house and its details closer and closer at home.
I share my photos and impressions of them.
The city is renovating the facades in the city center and it can not help but rejoice. They are restoring the figures and it looks positive to me.
I liked this house, built architecturally symmetrically.
The bas-relief ornaments are reminiscent of the myths of ancient Greece. Sculptures of the Atlanteans holding the balcony, the courageous Aeneas, Cupid and Psyche.
This house is very beautiful and rich in Empire style architecture, which was common in the nineteenth century.
And it seems to me that the residents of the house live well in them, that the apartments are cozy and spacious. Many older people now remain living in these homes. Young people are increasingly moving to high-rise buildings. And I think that if I got in the middle of the room, I could see antique furniture, mirrors, bookshelves, crystal ware. But this is another post.
Then walking through the streets of my city, I saw several houses with wrought-iron balconies. Sometimes the movement of cars prevented me from taking clear photos, the city is alive, people are always in a hurry. Houses have stood for centuries and this means that they are well designed and built.
Thank you for your attention!
