I'm in a new city, it's noisier and with more traffic than my hometown. So there are a lot of things that scare me a little bit, my worst fear is crossing the streets. It is something I have been working on for many years along with other fears. But today I can tell you that it was not a bad day for me, and that little by little I am not so afraid of cars anymore.
I decided to go for a walk, near the place where I am staying there is the beach. I had already tried on Monday and Tuesday to cross to the other corner to go to the beach, but I didn't make it. So today I decided to go out and overcome my fear.
I'm a little forgetful person, it's hard for me to remember the names of the streets and forget the way, so I get lost sometimes HAHAHAHA. To prevent this from happening to me, I decided to start taking pictures of landmarks, that is, if from my house to the beach at the first corner there is a bench, I take a picture of the photo, and so I remember that I have to go back to that corner. I took pictures of signs, poles, houses, supermarkets, I have a folder full of them.
Today I want to show you my route to the beach, and the photos I took to remember.
As I walked I found landmarks, took pictures and kept walking. For example this poster that said "tecnonet" which is on the main avenue if I'm not mistaken.
I kept walking and I could see the beach, I was very excited because I managed to cross the street, I walked for a long time, it was almost 25 minutes but I really arrived very fast, because I was not aware of the time.
After a while, when I crossed the corner I could see the beach, I felt an immense feeling, I have a great connection with the beaches, I can spend all day walking on the soft sand, letting the waves touch my feet.
There were many birds fishing, resting, opening their wings for the sun to dry them. Walking along I came across some swings, and I sat down for a while to rest.
I closed my eyes, I focused on listening to the song of the waves, the whistling of the wind and the chirping of the birds flying, forgetting a little of the city behind me, forgetting the problems, the daily life, the sound of the cars, the sound of the drill in the constructions, I left everything aside for a while. It was just me and the sea.
When I opened my eyes, it had already been a long time, I looked at the clock and it was time to go back, I'm not lying to you, I didn't want to leave, but I had to continue with my daily activities. With a lot of sadness but at the same time happiness, I said goodbye to the beach, I thanked it for giving me a few minutes of tranquility, for letting me rest on its sand and for showing me its beautiful landscape.
Thus ends today's walk, with a very important achievement for me, with a visit to our mother nature and with the thought that although life can sometimes be difficult, life sends us moments that remind us why we are alive. Enjoy the little things, because if you know how to appreciate them, they become great unforgettable memories.
By the way, the city where I am is Lechería-Venezuela. I can't tell you the names of the streets, I'm new and I didn't know who to ask jiji.
Happy Wednesday to all of you.
