Greetings, community! I’m back again to share a memorable moment with you. This past September 8th was my beloved husband's birthday.
Every September 8th is memorable for my children and me; we celebrate my husband's birthday, and the kids are thrilled to celebrate their beloved father's special day. We always celebrate birthdays with cake, soda, cookies, and snacks. For the children, we cut a cake and have a piñata, but for the adults, there’s no piñata—just sometimes a soup or chicken with rice, and occasionally a gift for the birthday person.
This time, we made a beautiful, delicious chocolate cake for my husband and served it with soda. We didn't do anything else because he is on a diet. It was a very special day. His greatest gift is being healthy after his surgery; every day is a beautiful gift of life. He underwent open-heart surgery; in Venezuela, he was given very little hope for survival, but in Colombia, heart specialists examined him and performed several operations—the last being open-heart surgery. Today, on his birthday, he is enjoying another year of life, which is why this day is so memorable for my children and me. I hope life grants me many more birthdays by my husband's side.
