This was a good one. A bit of time spent making the Cheshire Cat's face how I wanted it, and discarding a couple of faces that didn't make the cut.
Once you have set up a couple of faces that work for you, it's easier to use them as references, so you can maintain more consistency with the ones to follow.
Stuff like angles of the chin and forehead, or where the hair tufts out, or color swatches.
Tomorrow, I'll spend an hour or so working out some belly dancer style jingles for her, because that seems to be what decorated the Aspara statue, and I thought those looked cool. I'd like her to have some of those decorations in the story as accessories.
Then I'm going to investigate the viability of painting over some previous work of mine for a 4 page sex scene in this chapter of the storyboard.
The original was my first sex comic back in Dec '17. It's a Warcraft strip, where an elf and a space goat have lesbian sex in a magical forest.
I figure I can probably obliterate it, and then repaint the figures, and see if it's any good. If it works, then sweet, I'll save some time with some drawings, and find a productive use for some of my earlier artwork.
If not -- at least I gave it a shot.
Good night.
