Interesting (to me at least) sociological observation.

EVERY ONE STAY CALM AND DON'T GET ALL DEFENSIVE.

The observation topics:

I'm guessing somewhere around 90% of the people on earth are hetrosexual and comfortable with their gender,
and maybe 10% make up LGBTQxyz comfortable or uncomfortable with their gender.

IF we take the view that the majority defines the norm
The 90% are the way mother nature / God / Darwin intended humans to be.

If we apply the same percentages this time to globe earthers 90% flat earthers 10% then the accepted normal understanding is that the earth is a globe.

The observation:

Given that both these 2 topics are both relatively similar in their timings in their prominence to public debate.

With the shape of the earth topic we have the 90% of people happily and easily holding on to the accepted globe shape with the 10% as fringe who are possibly never going to change the norm.
This statement more than likely everyone ageees with.

With the gender topic we have 10% of the global population now defining normailty with the 90% happily agreeing with the new normal even though it has historically made no sense to them as the 10% are breaking all the majority normal definitions and the 90% will largely retain their existing self identities and socialsexual habbits.
This statement more than likely everyone agrees with.

There's a twist between the two is there not?
