Crypto survival of the fittest.
In these days of 1000 + different Alt Coins plus Bitcoin and associated forks , what factors sort
the men from the boys, the future extinct from the future survivors?

With so much competition it's not good enough to simply be 'the original' or a member of the 'one of the fastest' or 'one of the lowest transaction fees' clubs.
As for discreetness it's time to admit that no matter how good Monero or Zcash are in terms of privacy they still suffer the same issue of having to convert to a national FIAT at some point by way of an exchange who's accounts require identity confirmation.
In the crypto blockchain space, you're in dire need of at least one USP - Unique selling point.
What is your 'value add', what makes you stand out from the crowd, what will make you still be around when your competitors names are long lost memories?
In my mind Steem is the coin. Through Block Trades It meets all transaction speed and cost requirements, but additionally offers a variety of functions that make further use of its block chain.
I think Steem will stand the test of time, but of course that time will tell.
