The Carolinas Bigotting 2026. Oil pastel on paper, 9 x 12"
I’ve been back for a few days after visiting my mother in South Carolina. We went to my sister’s house and pet sit her dog for a week while she was away on her own family errand. Like my mother, my sister is an organized, ordered, clean house person. There would be no painting attempted in her abode. So I decided to substitute three pastels a day for my usual three painting goal. Even with the smaller paper size, it wasn’t so easy with time spent visiting Mom, cooking meals, walking the dog, and keeping an impeccably clean house . Still, I managed all three a day for six days straight. It was the long travel days I had to take off. Here are ten of the eighteen. I’m itching to show the paintings made since I got back.
Summer is so much more busy than the winter. I can see the foliage changing color, and feel the night nip in the air. We’re losing evening light. I have a feeling this winter is going to be very productive.
All pastels are oil on 9 x 12" paper.
