The first match of Round One pits Finn Balor and Sasha Banks against the team of Shinsuke Nakamura and Natalya.
On paper, this match has all of the dressing of being a classic. You have Finn and Shinsuke who are seasoned vets from the arena of NJPW, the dynasty of the Hart family that is Natalya and the always amazing Sasha Banks.
But what did we get?
Meh. That's about it. This match, for lack of better term, felt like filler. It felt like a match that you would see in the middle of the 2nd hour of RAW while the company is trying to fill time on the often over bloated program. You'd think that they would do something more special for the first match on a new platform. Go big or go home, as it were.
But in the end, none of that really matters does it? Deep down the real winners are the charities that get mentioned repeatedly on the air and the web and the one who is inevitably going to get the $100k. So that is reason enough to forgive the short comings in this match.
At least we get to see Braun destroy everyone. That'll be fun, right?
