My Process/ Mi proceso [Esp/Eng]

Hello, cycling enthusiasts! Today I’m going to tell you the story of how I got started with this two-wheeled mode of transportation that we all love.

Hola amantes del ciclismo, en esta ocasión les contaré la historia de mis comienzos en este transporte de dos ruedas amado por todos.

I still remember when I was little and would watch my friends ride their bikes—it really caught my attention. But unfortunately, since I didn’t have one of my own back then, I couldn’t really get involved with bikes. In fact, it wasn’t until I was 20 that I learned to ride a bike—the same age I bought my first one: a neglected bike that someone had at home and posted on Facebook. Even though it looked pretty beat up, I set out to restore it. Here’s what it looked like when I bought it:

Todavía recuerdo cuando era pequeño y veía a mis amigos montar sus bicicletas, era algo que me llamaba mucho la atención, pero desgraciadamente al no tener una propia en aquel entonces, no pude interactuar mucho con las bicicletas. De hecho, no fue hasta los 20 años que aprendí a montar bicicleta, misma edad que me compré mi primera bicicleta. Una bicicleta olvidada que alguien tenía en su casa y la puso en un anuncio de facebook, a pesar de que se veía bien deteriorada, me di la tarea de restaurarla, a continuación les muestro como lucía cuando la compré:

So I got to work. I washed the bike as best I could with soap and water, bought paint and the parts I could afford within my budget. Here’s a step-by-step look at the process and how it turned out.

Pues me puse mano a la obra, lavé la bicicleta lo mejor que pude con agua y jabón. Compré pintura y las piezas que me pude permitir según mi presupuesto, aquí les muestro el paso a paso de como fue el proceso y como terminó.

In 2023, God allowed me to buy a better bike, and I felt in my heart that I should give my old bike to a friend who—as incredible as it may seem—was already 18 years old and didn’t know how to ride a bike. He was on the same path I had been on—I’d never had a bike of my own. I still remember his surprise and joy. Through my testimony, I’d like to encourage you never to forget to bless those who are going through the same hardships we ourselves have faced.

En el año 2023 Dios me permitió comprarme una bicicleta mejor, sentí en mi corazón regalarle mi bicicleta anterior a un amigo, que por increíble que parezca ya tenía 18 años y no sabía montar bicicleta. Iba por el mismo camino que yo, nunca había tenido una bicicleta propia. Todavía recuerdo su sorpresa y felicidad, me gustaría exhortarles mediante mi testimonio a nunca olvidarse de bendecir a las personas que están pasando por las necesidades que nosotros mismos hemos pasado.

Dios los bendiga a todos, les muestro mi bicicleta actual, en estos momentos tengo una goma ponchada, pero pronto estará como nueva llevándome de un lado a otro.
