A couple of months ago, I shared my first finished shawl. I haven't really ised it because we haven't gone to Baguio yet because of the quarantine. Plus it's really not the season to wear shawls at the moment. I am very much inclined though to use it as a cover up shawl for a swimsuit attire but I am again reminded that we cannot go out on swimming trips just yet.
Inam still thankful though that a friend of mine still got interested in having a shawl. She asked that I make her a triangle shawl too. So off to youtube I went and found this pattern.
It just so happened that I hoarded a couple of yarn cakes before the quarantine happened. Now, I can proudly tell my husband that my hoarding was not actually hoarding. It's part of my preparation for situations like this. And whether he agrees or not, we can both conclude that my sanity is intact because of these yarns.
I have been very busy though with the earsavers/facemask extenders so this shawl is taking longer thn expected to finish. I try to make sure that each day, I finish at least 1 row. I am a strong believer that it is okay to move slow as long as you do not stop.
Mostly, I do my crocheting during the little one's playtime. That's because it's the only time she actually asks for her personal space. I got no problem with it. We're both busy anyways.
Hopefully I finish this before summer ends. So far, it's looking good. Far better than the first try, if I'm being honest. Of course, I have learnedy lessons on the first shawl and this new one is gonna be my "lesson-learned-shawl."
