Last week I bought this coin.
It is a replica of a German 5 Mark coin but minted in 1 ounce of pure silver.
It is some kind of commemorative coin I think looking at the years 1951 - 1991 mentioned on the back of the coin.
I am trying to figure out some information and details about this coin but I was not able to find it. The info I am looking for is:
The issuer or minting company of the coin.
The number of pieces minted
The reason for minting the coin.
As I mentioned it has something to do with a 40th anniversary of some kind.
I know that some people from Germany are member of the SSG community, so my hope for information is on them.
I had never seen the coin before and I do not know whether it is a common or rare coin. One thing I know is that I like it and it fits perfectly in my collection.
Enjoy and looking forward to receive some information.
