The final hour before dusk and the first hour after dawn are prime times for professional photography. These moments, also referred to as "the golden hour" or "magic hour," provide the best lighting for taking stunning images.
The "golden hour" refers to the brief window of time when the sun rises or sets on specified days. In some respects, it is gentler and softer than, say, midday, when the light is harsh and a little too forceful. It is that brief window of time when the light is at its most golden and softer than other times of the day. Another benefit of the golden hour is the long, elongated shadows that extend as far as they can. This might make for a really strong and effective element in any picture composition.
Despite what might appear to be clear, golden hour cannot occur on a day when the sun is completely hidden by clouds.
Partial cloud covering is still desirable when shooting landscape photography or any other style of photography that concentrates on the sky since it provides a lot of visual interest and can produce breath-taking sunrises and sunsets. Nothing but a sky of pure blue doesn't produce nearly as good of effects.
Above Beautiful Sunrise and sunset vews are from my rooftop. I have a big terrace garden at my home and almost everyday I get these golden hour views. When there are dark clouds in yhe sky, the beauty of this time of the day is beyond words. Even though I have a high range smartphone and DSLR but still I think they are far more beautiful as shown in the pictures. I am in love with these color formation in the sky and clouds. Like our fingerprints, everyday a new pattern is painted over the sky with these golden hues.
