When Sky Catches Fire...
Today happened to be a day like any other - I went for a walk to clear my head of the daily thoughts and have some rest. Yet, as I strolled, I raised my head and had a sight of a lifetime.
I saw the sky, a blazing red with orange at the horizon - the sun was setting, and it painted all of the rooftops around with warm colors. Such glow of the sky, so vivid and bright, seemed as if the sun was trying to pour all of its heart into the sky to spread the warm colors everywhere.
I had frozen, watching this lovely show, unable to take a single step. It felt as if this beautiful piece of nature was a true miracle - and the whole city held its breath in awe and silence to admire the view. A walk here turned out to be a deep meditation for me - I thought that the world is too busy to stop and appreciate small things around, yet the sunset reminds us all that beauty never leaves us for good. It is a warm and comforting feeling to know that the sun will set for us every evening to paint our world with beautiful and calming colors.
I took photos to save at least a small part of this magic in my memories, yet I know that nothing could replace the beauty and warmth of the sky I saw that day.
