Almost 2 weeks ago I was accepted into the Steemit community and even in that short time I have already met some pretty amazing members. Today I looked up and could not believe that I had reached the 100 followers milestone. I am very thankful to all of my followers and the Steemit community.
This community feels different. It still has that "new car smell". I have been on other platforms before, even some that were brand new, but this one just feels special. I get the distinct feeling that we are all shaping Steemit, that we are all parenting this infant entrusted to us. It makes me feel like I need to step up and contribute my best and to expect the same from others.
To that end I will strive everyday to do just that. I will wake up, show up to do my best toward supporting all those that are a few steps behind me in this journey and attempt whenever possible to learn from those that are many more steps ahead of me.
I am very thankful for the first 100 connections I have made and I am looking forward to many more!
