Last night I ended up going down a Youtube rabbit hole and found myself watching videos from people who coded their own crypto trading bots and linked them to their exchange accounts.

Back when I very first got started here on Hive, I was in the midst of a push to try to learn how to code using Javascript. After putting in some effort with that for a few weeks, it became apparent to me that I would have to put years of practice into it to become skilled enough to use the code for anything beyond little programs and games like rock-paper-scissors, so gradually I lost interest.

So noting that, it should be just as obvious to you as it is to me that coding a bot to run trades for me and putting real money into that would be a catastrophic idea at my skill level. However, one of the videos I watched included a comparison between their bot and a bot that was from a paid promo by a group called Coinrule.

Now I'm going to say up front that I have yet to try this with any real money and that you should be incredibly confident in a platform before giving it access to trade on your account (not because they will rob you, but because if they suck you will go broke). However, I thought that this platform looks really cool and is something that I would like to put a few hundred dollars into soon to experiment with. They also don't have an affiliate program, so I am just sharing this because I think the idea of automated bots is pretty cool.

Here is the video they put together for their crowdfunding round

I went ahead and signed up for a demo account. The basic account is also free and you can go live under $3,000 in daily trade volume while implementing 2 rules for the bot to follow.

Here is what the dashboard looks like on the platform, you can see I'm down a little bit of fake money but I suppose that's just how things go; sometimes up and sometimes down, but you hope that over time your strategy will be a good one.

Based on your investing goals they recommend some strategies, though I believe you can design one yourself based on what you would like the bot to do so it aligns with your trading strategy.

Here's what it looks like making some rules for your bot to follow:

I'll be giving this a shot with some real money pretty soon, but I just wanted to share the platform because I think it is a really cool idea. Being able to set the system to exactly what you would do if you could put 100% of your time into it without having to look at it again after you hit start allows for you to do a lot more with your time while never missing out.

Do your own research, but there is a reason that videos on making trading bots do so well on Youtube: it makes trading crypto a little bit easier.
