Loving steem(it), but...

I was absent for about two months, sometimes life just gets in the way. Having spent quite some time on Steemit before I grew weary with small payout, bullies and generally bad UI of the site.

Even though I didn't realize before, when I think about it, there is not much mention of Steem(it) anywhere. It used to be this new big game-changer, but it looks like we lost momentum.

I'm back, but what's changed?

Last week I decided to give it another go. I was pleasantly surprised to see the value of what I did before had increased, and very nicely indeed, and I was greeted by a refreshed website.

And here is stops.

Nothing has really changed.

• The look-and-feel of the website has changed a bit, but fundamentally it's still the same as before.
  Still no multi-language support and no option to choose which categories/tags I want to see or not.
• There are still bullies trying to enforce their rules on the community.
• It is still extremely difficult to be noticed in the huge pool of posts being created every minute. This sort of has to do with my first point as well, the look-and-feel of the website.

I think the sign-up process has not changed, and the SMT's are not available yet.

For now I decided to hang around and see if anything really changes. While I believe that Steemit has the possibility be big and change content-publishing, currently there are too many obstacles to reach it's full potential.

So, I'm asking everyone that reads this to reply to this message. Where do you see improvements, what would you really like to see changed and how can we make Steemit grow bigger.
