Usually I don't go to the supermarket with my mom because of several little things, one of them is that she usually goes to one that is close to home which is very small, and the time she likes to go is when there are more people, so between the smallness and the amount of people everywhere I prefer to stay at home, plus she knows a lot of people and the trip lasts longer than usual because she stops to talk to everyone and I don't have much patience 馃ぃ
That said, on Friday pssado I had to take her to the health center that is in our town to get some vitamin injections that she had been taking during the week, plus I had to take Mat铆as because he had a sore throat (turned out to be tonsillitis), and when we left there she told me she wanted to do some quick shopping at the supermarket and since she needed to buy Mat铆as' medicines we went together.
Of course before going in I reminded him that Mati wasn't feeling well and to try not to stop too long to talk and go home as soon as possible
This supermarket is part of a chain of which there are several on the island, and although this is its smallest branch, they managed to include everything that the other branches offer, so it has a pharmacy, ice cream, deli and butcher, vegetables and fruits, spices, household items, including items for minor repairs at home and even for the care of vehicles, lingerie, stationery and office, liquor, imported products and even an optician! Don't ask me how they managed to fit everything in that space, but they did it, there is a little bit of everything, and for us who are retired from everything, it is a blessing. And if that's not enough, he accepts Cashea.
Once we got inside we went straight to the pharmacy inside the supermarket and I bought Mat铆as' medications and then went to help my mom with her shopping.
The supermarket was practically alone, so I was happy because I didn't have to bump into people at every moment and I was sure we would be done in no time, and in fact we were.
We went first to the fruit and vegetable area which was very well stocked that morning and with a great variety of fruits. There my mom grabbed a few things, then went through the deli restocking ham and cheese, and finally bought oatmeal, milk, and other little things she was needing.
Luckily she didn't run into anyone she knew 馃ぃ, so as soon as she finished picking all the products we went straight to the checkout, and while she was waiting for her turn, I walked around a few times to see the new organization that the supermarket had as they had an area for canned seafood products that looked super nice, they also had another shelf exclusively for dairy and also for Mary products, which looked very eye-catching and organized.
Finally, when he finished canceling we went back home, this time there was no ice cream because Mati had a cough and we didn't want to eat without him doing it, so we had to wait for the next time.
