A style of educating: Empowering multiple intelligences

Since I was a child I was always passionate about art and I related it to everything, for me it was a fun way to mix things, I remember that to learn the lessons I imagined many things about what I was studying or suddenly I sang a song that I invented with the same theme that I was studying, nowadays I am an educator and I realize how happy it would have been if my teacher had discovered how great it can be to work multiple intelligences (I always liked my teachers and they were very good, they were other times and education was the traditional one where the teacher taught the student).

I decided to do a test where I used art as a means of expression and meaningful learning for the youngest students, but since I am not an expert I did not dare to apply something like that. Then I decided to play with my nephews through songs, since I am a musician. My surprise was great to see the results, because the things we did we did with music and songs, I talked about the water cycle at that time (I thought it was a nice subject but a little complicated for their ages between 6 and 9 years). Well, the days went by and I asked them again about the topic, they remembered EVERYTHING we talked about and of course they sang it, so I said to myself: There are endless great and applicable strategies in a classroom and I firmly believe that the teacher must be 100% CREATIVE at all times and must use everything that happens in their classroom and take it to their advantage so that any act that happens there is pedagogical and therefore a learning situation. We must have a broad vision to determine what are the things that each child likes to be able to take what they like and turn it into the means to build their knowledge and develop their skills and abilities.

With this small exercise on multiple intelligences (and although I only used one type nothing else) I have given myself the opportunity to create real situations of learning adapted to the different realities and attentions of the students, being a passionate about art has helped me to be more innovative in the classroom, I hope to continue to find great things to work with children.
