This is one of the model Scales owned by Urang Banua in South Kalimantan which was once used by the Sultanate of Banjar and is now stored in the National Museum, DKI Jakarta.
This scales are used to weigh the "in natura" tax in the form of crops. It is said that the Sultan of Banjar sits on one side of the scale, as a scales while the other side placed the earth, so the weight of the earth must be balanced with the weight of the Sultan.
