NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY // A Macro Photography Study of Mantis Predators and Reptile Eyes
Good night to all my beloved hive friends 鉂わ笍
Tonight, the rain is pouring down so heavily that there isn't much I can do. A cup of coffee in the middle of such heavy rain might be the perfect choice, but I also need a friend to talk to. Boredom makes me think twice about finding something to keep me busy, but it seems as though the rain is holding me back, until eventually, a praying mantis comes along to keep me company.
This particular praying mantis fell right in front of me, most likely because it was being chased by a predator on the roof of my house. It is still in good health, although there are a few minor scratches on its abdomen. Its size is still relatively small, indicating that it is a young praying mantis. Its green color looks absolutely beautiful.
Out of boredom, I continued to observe every detail of this praying mantis, until an idea came to mind to capture its beauty. I tried to photograph it, but the results were terrible, and that was when I realized that I needed to use a macro lens.
Light is very important in macro photography. Even a slight change in lighting can affect the final image, and this was the challenge I faced at that moment. Fortunately, I had an LED flashlight that I could use, and it turned out that the results of nighttime photography were truly amazing as well.
There are so many geckos in the attic of my house, and I am also curious to capture their details. Photographing geckos is a very challenging task because they are equipped with a combination of highly sensitive senses and physical abilities that allow them to escape in a matter of milliseconds, but does that mean it is impossible.?
No, nothing is impossible under the sky.
I managed to spot a gecko on a mango tree, but it immediately ran away and hid when I tried to approach it. However, whether it was the same gecko or not, another gecko climbed onto a dead tree branch, and this was my chance.
This gecko is quite large, making it impossible for me to capture its entire body using a macro lens. The front part looks more interesting, from the shape of its face to the unique patterns in its eyes.
