Good night to all my beloved hive friends 鉂わ笍

Let me introduce you to a blood bee belonging to the Halictidae family. I managed to find this blood bee in an abandoned plantation near my uncle's house. Beneath the shade of towering oil palm trees and among the overgrown, untidy bushes, a very interesting insect was hiding. This blood bee has a body shape that looks very similar to a wasp, from its head all the way to the tip of its abdomen. Its head and thorax are jet black and decorated with thick hairs covering its entire body. The most interesting part is its abdomen, which is bright red like blood, with a slightly darkened tip.

What caught my attention and made me want to photograph this bee was the red color of its abdomen. Under the sunlight, its abdomen looked as if it were glowing. It turned out that photographing this blood bee was also very difficult. They are very wild and sensitive to even the slightest movement. I had to experience several failed attempts before finally succeeding in photographing it.

From a close distance, we can also see the fine white hairs covering this bee's entire body. According to the information I found, it turns out that this is a highly aggressive parasitic bee. This bee never builds its own nest or raises its offspring independently. Instead, it takes advantage of existing nests built by other bees to lay its eggs, so that its larvae will eventually feed on the food supplies collected by the host bees.

The population of these blood bees appears to be relatively stable in my area. We can even find them right in front of our houses, unless we simply fail to notice their presence. They are also relatively small in size, so I have to photograph them from a very close distance to capture every detail of their shape and colors.
The question is, are these blood bees dangerous to humans or not.?

At that time, I also tried to photograph this blood bee from various angles, resulting in some very satisfying shots. Farmers also do not need to worry about the presence of these bees because they are not pests that can damage crops.I often find these blood bees behind my house, but finding them does not necessarily mean that I will succeed in photographing them. They are very wild and extremely shy.

At that moment, I also tried to photograph it from a very close distance. However, I only managed to capture a single shot, perhaps because the bee felt disturbed and immediately flew away from me.
