Good night to all my beloved hive friends ❤️

In this post, I will share one of my experiences when visiting a natural tourist destination in North Aceh, namely Blang Kulam Waterfall. This waterfall is located in a remote area surrounded by tropical forests and lush trees, so visiting this place can certainly provide a peaceful and refreshing natural atmosphere.

Blang Kolam Waterfall is located in Panton Rayeuk Satu Village, Kuta Makmur District, North Aceh Regency, Aceh Province. The waterfall is about 21 km from the city of Lhokseumawe. It is not a very far distance, but the trip can still be quite tiring.

To get to this waterfall, we also have to pass through several villages first, but that is not the real challenge. From the parking area, we still have to walk and go through around 600 steps along a trail that goes up and down. The locals usually call this route the “thousand-step trail.”

The entrance fee to this waterfall is also very cheap, only IDR 5,000 per person. The parking fee is IDR 5,000 for motorcycles and IDR 10,000 for cars. Very affordable, right?
There are also several small food stalls in the parking area, so we can take a break and recharge our energy before taking on the extreme 1,000-step route.

After walking for only about 2 minutes, I was immediately surprised by the extreme downhill and uphill sections of the trail. In my opinion, we should check the weather conditions first before visiting this tourist destination. If it rains, the trail will definitely become very slippery and much more dangerous.

Along the way, I also came across several other visitors who were taking a break by the side of the trail. Of course, that was the right choice because there is no need to push yourself, and putting safety first is the most important thing.

However, along this route, we will be greeted by such beautiful natural scenery. There are so many large trees, fresh air, and the pleasant aroma of nature. In some areas, we can also find several huts built along the trail, where we can take a break while enjoying everything this place has to offer.

Seeing so many steps ahead of me made my feet feel even heavier, especially when going uphill. This trip definitely requires extra effort, but all the tiredness will be worth it once we hear the roar of the falling water and see the lush green scenery surrounding it.

The forest is also still very pristine and well-preserved. Along the way, I could hear various sounds from different animals and insects. The birdsong sounded so peaceful as they continued flying and dancing among the treetops.

The feeling of tiredness immediately disappeared when I could hear the sound of the flowing river, which was a sign that I was getting close to the bottom of the waterfall. However, at that moment, I took the opportunity to rest for a while by the side of the trail while enjoying the beautiful scenery of a gently flowing river with crystal-clear water.
