This is the odd line we walk with AI. On one hand, it can be a life line, something that can help us sort out heads out, like journalling, as you say. Externalising our thoughts, creating a narrative, using language and story - it's very valuable as a psychological tool. On the other hand, it threatens our very humanity, becomes addictive, twisted, manipulative, dangerous. Would I pull the plug entire? Damn right I would.
