What a beautiful reminder of what friendship really means. I don't think he would have as much resilience without it! We talk so much about resilience as an individual quality, but this story shows how much we rely on each other to get through the hardest times - I'm reminded of the seven year journey Dad went through before he died.We always showed up, supported him - but ultimately the guy didn't want to die, and had such hope and strength. Others give up - I wonder what makes some go on, and others give up - maybe it's friendship and family indeed.
