I'll never forget being called into HR once. I'd gone to the canteen for a toasted focaccia five minutes into lunch and they'd sold out. Again - it'd been happening for months, meaning if you weren't there when it opened you'd miss out. I expressed disappointment (I was starving) and suggested that they make more so they didn't run out. Apparently the dinner lady said I bullied her. I was gobsmacked. Copped a lecture. Had to go and apologize to the women. I did so, though I said 'Im sorry you felt I bullied you' as it sure as hell wasn't my fault she couldn't do her job properly. I guess HR is needed for awful, awful people like me.
